HAPRER RETAINS BELTS WITH STOPPAGE WIN

Terri Harper retained her WBC super-featherweight crown with a ninth-round stoppage win over Katharina Thanderz.

The undefeated Norwegian challenger was left in severe pain following a body shot and a ruthless final flurry. Referee Victor Loughlin rightly stepped to stop the onslaught.

Terri who recently turned 24 had her confidence knocked after her draw with Tasha Jonas earlier this year. She came out looking stronger than ever against Thanderz and looked composed throughout. She stuck to the game plan as instructed by her coach Stefy Bull.

What makes her win even more incredible is that during the fourth round Terri broke her hand. Those watching at home would have had no idea anything was wrong.

The win takes the Denaby ace to 11-0-1 and sets her on course for unification fights in 2021.
