Mark Turner

Founder and Executive Director of Flying Futures. An organisation I founded in 2009, today has over 30  full time and 150 casual staff, with an turnover in excess of £1.7m. As Executive Director, I have overall strategic responsibility, ensuring we  execute of our vision and mission.

My career started at local government working on the national social inclusion programme ‘Positive Futures’. Due to the local and regional success I was invited to work as part of the national team working with the Home Office amongst other central government departments. During this time I was exposed to other people, projects, funders and government departments which allowed me to develop my network in the sport for development sector.

Away from Flying Futures CIC I also work as a consultant working for government, corporate and sport sector initiatives. Over the past 5 years I have worked alongside DCMS, Premier League and the British Council. I also sit on a number of board as an advisor, trustee and non executive director. If people are using sport for social good then I wont be to far away!

Carl Hall

Current CEO of Doncaster Rugby League Football Club and senior manager within Club Doncaster. I have recently been appointed as the Vice President of the Rugby Football League working alongside former footballer Tony Adams. I am a former international and professional rugby league player, having played for numerous domestic clubs in both New Zealand and Europe. I am best known and recognised in a playing capacity pulling on a jersey for Bradford Bulls, Leeds Rhino’s and my beloved Doncaster RLFC.

After retiring from professional Rugby League I remained in the game as Director of Rugby with Doncaster. I then became owner of the club between 2009-2013 before guiding the club to a more sustainable future under the new Club Doncaster group structure in 2014.

Sport is a powerful tool and captures the hearts and minds of people, communities and nations. I firmly believe sport can bring society together for good and I will share this with whoever is prepared to listen.

Amie Canham

I am a journalist who worked for Sky Sports News for eight years working my way up from a runner to a producer. Day to day I worked on every sport, writing scripts, building shows and producing in the gallery.  My passion is horse racing and I spent a lot of time working on location at the Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot.

After living in London for eight years I moved to Malton and was Media Manager for Richard Fahey Racing. I set up a non-for-profit organisation called Take The Reins to encourage young people from underprivileged and BAME backgrounds to consider a career in horse racing.

I am a Magistrate sitting in North Yorkshire, predominantly York and Scarborough.

I am a mum to two beautiful girls called Rose and Beth.

Annie-Rose Horne-Peddie

I am a full time fashion photographer and part-time small business owner specialising in portraiture.

Since graduating from The University for the Creative Arts in Rochester in Photography Contemporary Practice; I have been developing my work both photographically and from a marketing perspective. I currently work as a fashion photographer for Lasula, a widely known E-commerce fashion company and have been praised for turning around their photography across the board and increasing sales nationally .

Day to day I work with creatives and marketing colleagues to make good imagery the forefront of the business.

Paul Shaw


Leading the Female England Team to memorable successes including back-to-back Ashes, reaching a World Cup final and acquiring many series wins along the way have all been very special experiences. Paul has since gone on to be the founder of Inside Leadership, which is about developing talent in people to enable them to fulfil their potential.
